Drop

A Telegram capture box that cleans up what you send and makes it possible to find again.

What it does

  • Capture links, notes, and other material quickly from Telegram
  • Turn each item into a useful title, summary, tags, and filing information
  • Browse and search the collection without losing the original context

What comes with it

Telegram capture
A low-friction front door for sending links, notes, and other material from your phone.
Curator agent
Cleans up and files new captures while a retrieval agent helps find them again.
Searchable collection
A quiet app for browsing the saved material, its summary, tags, and original note.
Capture trail
Saves the original item before background work and records what happened afterward.

From the README

Why it exists

People send themselves links, screenshots, voice notes, and half-finished thoughts because capture has to be fast. The problem comes later: the saved pile has no useful title, no context, and no reliable way to search it.

Drop keeps Telegram as the quick front door, then gives the saved material a quiet place to live.

What it does

  • Accept links, notes, and other captures from Telegram.
  • Save the original item before any background work begins.
  • Create a useful title, summary, tags, and filing information.
  • Keep an event trail for what happened to the item.
  • Browse and search the collection from the Drop app.

What a normal use looks like

You forward a long article from your phone with the note “use this for onboarding.” Drop saves the link immediately, adds a clear title and summary, and files it with the onboarding material. Weeks later, the note and the article are still together.

How it is built on Lemma

This repository contains the pod itself, not just a screenshot or a prompt. The interface and the parts that do the work are installed together.

  • surfaces/telegram/ — The fast capture entrance.
  • tables/ — Saved items and the events that happened to them.
  • agents/ — One agent helps retrieve the collection; the curator cleans up and files new captures.
  • functions/ — Save the original item first, then finalize the title, summary, and filing details.
  • schedules/ — Start curation when a new capture appears.
  • apps/drop/ — The searchable collection people return to later.

The files in this repo contain the structure and instructions. Your private records, connected accounts, credentials, and deployed URLs are added after import.

Install and remix on Lemma

The button opens Lemma's import flow for this exact GitHub repository:

Connect your own Telegram bot, send one item, and confirm that it appears in the app. The repo contains no bot token or personal captures.

Import from the command line

git clone https://github.com/deepak-jha-kgp/drop.git
cd drop

lemma pods import . --dry-run
lemma pods import .

Make it yours

You do not need to keep this pod exactly as it is.

  1. Fork the repository.
  2. Change the instructions, app, tables, or rules for the way you work.
  3. Import your fork with https://lemma.work/import/github/<your-github-name>/<your-repo>.
  4. When it is useful, show your version here with one screenshot and a short note about what changed.

If this pod saved you from rebuilding the same thing, star the repo so the useful versions are easier to find.
