A personal inbox that follows the rules you choose and prepares replies without sending behind your back.

Why it exists

Most email tools decide what should matter to you. Smart Inbox starts with your rules instead: which messages need attention, which can wait, and what a useful draft sounds like.

The result is less inbox housekeeping without giving an agent silent permission to act as you.

What it does

  • Bring Gmail threads into one calm view.
  • Use your tags and instructions to sort each kind of message.
  • Write a short summary so you can understand a long thread quickly.
  • Prepare a reply in the voice and level of detail you asked for.
  • Keep the draft separate from the send action so you can review it first.

What a normal use looks like

A long scheduling thread lands in the inbox. Smart Inbox tags it as scheduling, summarizes the open choices, and prepares a two-line reply with the preferred time. You edit the time and send when ready.

How it is built on Lemma

This repository contains the pod itself, not just a screenshot or a prompt. The interface and the parts that do the work are installed together.

  • tables/ — Emails, threads, tags, drafts, and the preferences used for this inbox.
  • agents/inbox-agent/ — The instructions for sorting, summarizing, and drafting.
  • functions/ — Bring in mail, keep threads in sync, finish sorting, and send only through the guarded send function.
  • workflows/ and schedules/ — Start the inbox work when a new email is recorded.

The files in this repo contain the structure and instructions. Your private records, connected accounts, credentials, and deployed URLs are added after import.
